Our Punla 2026 Calendar is now available, and every month features a drawing made by one of our core members. The animal illustrations were created by Jovelyn Cabrera, Faith Kathrine De Leon, Alvin Valle, Francis Belgira, Mariflor Libatique, Raymond Yasul, Aurea Alonzo, John Paul Paculan, Venice Montejo, Philip Victorio, and Amiel Jorda.

Each page pairs a core member’s artwork with a short note about the animal it depicts, from toucans and turtles to penguins, octopuses, armadillos, and peacocks. The calendar is one of the ways our community shares the gifts and creativity of its members with the wider public.

Table calendars are available as a two-piece bundle for ₱500, and wall calendars as a two-piece bundle for ₱400. Orders of five or more bundles receive 10% off, which makes them a practical gift for family, friends, and offices. For the second time, Purple 7 Tannies PH, a BTS fan club, conducted their outreach program at Punla. The group aims not only to promote BTS’s music and talents but also to reach out and share what they have with others. In line with BTS’s message of love and kindness, the event carried the theme “ARMY with LUV.”

To make the event even more meaningful, Purple 7 Tannies PH invited other BTS fan clubs to join the activity. Together, they raised funds for Punla and spent time with the core members. It was a heartwarming opportunity for everyone to connect, bond, and share their love for music and dancing.

During the program, the fan club members showcased their talents in singing and dancing, performing together with the Punla core members. Afterwards, Ms. Sam Leuterio and the fan club members demonstrated how to make dishwashing soap. The Punla core members also tried it themselves. Materials and packaging were provided so that this activity could be used as an income-generating project in the future.

The group also brought bead-making materials so the Punla members could create phone charms, bracelets, bag keychains, and necklaces. The core members were very participative and creative, and everyone was amazed by the beautiful beadwork they made.

The event ended with smiles and full hearts and stomachs as everyone enjoyed a shared meal. The fan club also donated supplies such as hygiene kits, bottled water, sacks of rice, and cash to support Punla’s daily needs.

Fr. James Gascon, SJ conducted a workshop on safeguarding for the volunteers and board members of the L’Arche community on August 21. Safeguarding training is part of how our community protects the people at its heart and holds itself accountable to the families who entrust their loved ones to us.

Beiersdorf (NIVEA Group) first learned about the L’Arche community through the Project Inclusion group. During their outreach, members of L’Arche taught the visiting employees how to make beads. Afterwards, they purchased some of the finished products.

The group also had the opportunity to tour the house and workshop area to get to know the community better. Visits like this one are a good example of what a company outreach day at Punla can look like: core members lead the activity, the relationship goes both ways, and the day ends with something concrete for the community.

On October 7, Faith and Rea went to the Loyola School of Theology to share about their life. They were accompanied by Ate Mai and Ate Jinky. This was a theology class on the Introduction to the Mystery of Faith led by Fr Hartono Budi, SJ. They were warmly received by the students, and their presence helped place theology into context against lived experiences.

The Loyola House of Studies community also invited them for lunch, where they got to meet Fr Roger Champoux, SJ, and Brothers Kevin, Zeq, Paulus, and Tommy who had their apostolate in Punla. It was a happy moment of reconnection.
